Our Services
Hearing Aid Repairs
When your hearing aid stops working — or just isn't sounding right — every day without it feels long. At Sense of Hearing, our audiologists and hearing instrument specialists repair and service hearing aids from every major manufacturer, including Phonak, Oticon, Signia, Widex, Starkey, ReSound, and Unitron. Many issues — wax blockage, tubing replacement, dome changes, microphone cleaning, dehumidifying — can be fixed in-clinic the same day. For more complex repairs we coordinate directly with the manufacturer and keep you informed along the way. Whether your hearing aid is under warranty or out of coverage, we'll diagnose the issue, give you a clear price, and get you hearing again as quickly as possible.

Common Questions
Hearing Aid Repairs FAQ
Answers to frequently asked questions about our hearing aid repairs services.
Pricing varies based on the issue and whether the device is still under manufacturer warranty. Most quick in-clinic repairs — like tube changes, wax filter replacements, or dome swaps — are inexpensive or included in service plans. Manufacturer-level repairs are quoted by the manufacturer and we'll review the estimate with you before proceeding.
Many repairs are completed the same day in our clinic. Repairs that need to be sent to the manufacturer typically take 5 to 10 business days, sometimes faster depending on the brand and issue.
Yes. We service hearing aids from every major manufacturer including Phonak, Oticon, Signia, Widex, Starkey, ReSound, Unitron, and more — even if your hearing aids were purchased elsewhere.
Often, yes. The first step is a professional drying treatment in our dehumidifier, followed by a full diagnostic. If components were damaged beyond drying, we'll coordinate a manufacturer repair or discuss replacement options.
A few quick checks first: replace the battery (or charge it fully if rechargeable), check for wax in the receiver or dome, and try a different dome or wax filter if you have spares. If sound doesn't return, bring it to your nearest Sense of Hearing clinic for a free diagnostic.
Most quick repairs and cleanings are walk-in. For complex issues or manufacturer warranty work, calling ahead lets us prepare paperwork and reduce your wait time.
If your hearing aid is under 5 years old and still meets your hearing needs, repair is usually the right call. Beyond 5–7 years, parts may be discontinued and replacement technology has advanced significantly — we'll help you compare repair cost against new-device cost so you can decide with full information.
Most new hearing aids come with a 1–3 year manufacturer warranty covering most repairs at no extra cost. We coordinate warranty claims on your behalf and let you know exactly what's covered before any work begins.
